24/7 Day/Night Surveillance
The SIG-3000M-2000-CT is designed by Ascendent specifically for critical infrastructure and perimeter protection. It offers a compelling alternative to the conventional single-camera system. The dual sensor payload enables the Sigma Series to provide images in virtually any environment from heavy fog to complete darkness. The FLIR cooled thermal imager provides long-range, wide-angle detection allowing proper assessment of potential hazards and threats at great distances with a high level of accuracy. The high-resolution visible camera provides superior clarity over thermal imaging and yields high detail to identify threats and trespassers even in complete darkness used the thermal and ZLID illumination.


HD Visible Continuous Optical Zoom Camera
The Sigma Series PTZ boasts a 1/3” high definition 1080P full HD visible camera that renders superb detail color images by day and clean, crisp monochrome images at night. This camera has a powerful 33-2000mm motorized zoom lens for FOV’s ranging from 17° to 0.14° degrees and zoom ratio of 60X (125x with 2x). The window is made out of 5mm optically pure flat tempered glass with AR coating to eliminate distortion and blurring , further enhancing the image clarity even when zoomed in. The OSD and coaxial controls allow you to configure the BLC, HLC, DIS, 3DNR, DIS privacy zones, and virtually every aspect of the camera to be optimized on site for unparalleled performance.

Thermal Extreme Long Range Detection
The Sigma is a Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) camera which means it operates on 3-5UM (3000nm-5000nm) wavelengths where terrestrial temperature targets emit most of their infrared energy. It has unparalleled performance and is able to detect humans at 23.5km and vehicles at 41.5km with the 150 / 750mm lens option,
allowing one camera to replace many traditional cameras. While the Sigma is a significant investment, its multi-sensor design to deliver superior range and performance allows it to replace and outperform other solutions, making it an ideal option for a variety of applications.

Active IR ZLID Laser Illumination
Many laser illuminators only light the center of the screen and act as a spot beam that over-exposes the center of the image and leaves the edges dark. Ascendent’s laser has up to a 0.35° to 19° (43X) resulting in an illuminated scene that matches the FOV of the camera. Ascendent’s ZLID (Zoom Laser IR Diodes) technology synchronizes IR intensity and area illumination with a motorized
zoom lens for outstanding active IR performance, eliminating over-exposure, washout, and hotspots for performance at distances ranging from 150m up to 5km (16,400ft) in complete darkness.

Direct Drive High Pan-Tilt Resolver
The heavy-duty PTZ driver is designed for extreme performance in
the most demanding applications. The ultra high precision pantilt
systems achieve accuracies of 0.005° resolution by using
high power DC torque motors and high accuracy revolvers directly couple to the payload for maintenance free operation with zero backlash. With a payload capacity of up to 100 pounds. The pan tilt resolver is designed to ensure optimal performance for multi-sensor platforms. The intelligent controlled 16 bit resolver is directly coupled to each axis for superior control and accuracy, and extreme high speeds up to 300°/s making it ideal for ultra long-range electro-optical and infrared camera systems and makes auto tracking, slew to cue, gyro stabilization and other advanced features work flawlessly.


Intuitive and User Friendly
Although the SIG-3000M-2000-CT is an extremely sophisticated piece of equipment, it is operated by an intuitive, user friendly interface and with multiple control options such as touch screen and mouse, and integration with 3rd party NVR and VMS systems. It can also be controlled by a 3-axis joystick and operated by any individual without prior training. Additionally, the optional digital Stabilizer (IS) and fog filter helps eliminate the effects of vibration swaying giving the Sigma similar performance of a gyro-stabilized system at a fraction of the cost.

Robust Military Grade
The SIG-3000M-2000-CT is compromised of military grade, precision engineered components and manufactured using unique processes to offer absolute performance. It integrates a military style connector to supply power, video, and communication over a
single cable. The Sigma also does not require a junction box or external electronics of any kind, increasing reliability and the amount of time required to install the system. These module are custom configured and connect at the base of the Sigma pan tilt and stack on one another for clean professional weather proof installation and can be optimized for fixed, mobile and rapid deployment based on the application and requirements.

Control and Connectivity
View all of your cameras and control them through the internet or secure VPM for real-time from anywhere in the world using Ascendent Remote Management Software (ARMS) on your laptop, iPhone, or Android device. Internet is often limited to low bandwidth satellites which is why our VMS, NVR, DVR and IP cameras can record at one resolution, stream at another, and have integrated VBR and CBR to manage the amount of data and
bandwidth used by each camera individually to ensure smooth operation on any network. Ascendent also provides long range wireless solutions either point to point or mesh networks with bandwidths up to 1.5GB and ranges up to 200km.

Integrated Cooled Thermal Camera
The integrated thermal detector Focal Plane Array (FPA) is based on a FLIR INsB cooled core that comes in a 640x480 resolution, with sensitivity of 25MK. Not only does the thermal core boast an impressive sensitivity, it also comes with a variety of precision engineered germanium lenses that offer a dual FoV up to
150 / 750mm (at 3.75° to 0.75°) for razor sharp images that maintain a low f-stop for real-time performance
without lag and latency.


Thermal Imaging
This cooled thermal imaging camera is equipped with an InSb detector, producing ultra-sharp thermal images of 640x480 pixels. This will satisfy users that want to see the smallest of detail and demand the best possible image quality. It allows the user to see
more detail and detect smaller objects from a further distance. Coupled with a high sensitivity, and leading geranium optics, this camera offers extreme long range performance and excellent image quality.

Cooled InSb Detector
The integrated thermal camera is a 680x480 midwave, cooled Indium Animonide (InSb) detector. A thermal imaging camera with a cooled detector allows you to see and detect potential threats much further away than with an uncooled detector. Objects which are at a close distance can be seen with much greater detail, you can even see what people are carrying. There is no need to send someone out in the field to check things out since small details can be clearly seen on the thermal image.

Auto-Focus
The thermal camera contains an exclusive auto focus
features, delivering crisp, clear images even when changing in between your FoV, ensuring optimal performance and situational awareness in the wide field of view and crisp details in the narrow field of view.

Digital Detail Enhancement (DDE)
FLIR has developed a powerful algorithm that helps the user overcome the problem of finding low contrast targets in high dynamic range scenes. This algorithm is called DDE. It is an advanced non linear image processing algorithm that preserves details in high dynamic range imagery. This detailed image is enhanced so that it matches the total dynamic range of the original image, thus making the details visible to the operator even in scenes with extreme temperature dynamics. Beyond the capabilities of linear auto gain/level controls and even non-linear histogram equalization, DDE automatically provides system operators with buried image details without sacrificing image quality.

Multi-Sensor IR and Optical Camera systems They are many competent manufactures of thermal and visible cameras but often they are only skilled at one of them and push their customers into either thermal or visible. Ascendent is highly experienced and have implemented a host of camera technologies that include but not limited to Visible, Thermal, Active IR, Range Gated, SWIR, Starlight, cooled thermal. Gyro Stabilization Ascendent’s cameras can be equipped with state-of-the-art 2-5 axis gyro gimbals that keeps the sensors firmly stabilized to 1 rms at frequencies up to 5htrz, giving you clear images without degradation typically caused by rough seas, swaying, thus making it ideal for ground, marine and aerial applications.

“Slew to Cue” Radar Integration: A superbly effective and strategic solution uses radars in tandem with pan and tilt imagers (visible CCD and thermal) and software technology to automate many of the critical challenges that the security force faces. This solution automatically detects and tracks moving objects and positions the camera to focus on the object. If the tracked object moves into a blind spot or out of a camera’s view, it will be picked up automatically by another camera and tracking will continue seamlessly.

Auto Tracking PTZ Camera
Ascendent cameras systems can be ordered with built-in auto tracking option. This allows the camera to track a moving object or automatically without any manual operation or any operator intervention. Upon detection of motion in the image, the PTZ camera is positioned on the detected object and tracks it automatically. Since many of Ascendent’s camera solutions are multi-sensor and fitted with a variety of optics with both wide angle view to provide situational awareness and then a zoom in to capture details for identification and recognition. The Auto tracking module can be used in tandem with the slew to cue to provide a full 360 degree panoramic autonomous surveillance system with the ability for manual override if desired making ideal for homeland defense and coastal surveillance.


Precise Target Measurement & Localization (Range Finder)
Ascendent system can be built with a LRF Laser range finder that is eye safe and pulses light at 1,550 nanometers to give real time measurements of a target. Because it operates a 1550nm it is stealth in that it will not be detected by other night vision devices such as thermal and image intensifiers. It can also be order with a digital magnetic compass (DMC) and GPS module it gives the exact GPS coordinates of the target and has an effective distance up to 30km.

Intelligent Video Analytics
AVA or Ascendent Video Analytics is our video analytics software suite, AVA allows you to intelligently track object such as people, vehicles, etc. AVA software can be configured to count people and vehicles crossing a predetermined point, and in which direction they are moving. Size and speed of objects can be calculated and saved, unattended objects can set off alarms after a specified period of time. AVA eliminates the complicated setup associated with other video-analytics software, which can have as many as 100 algorithm setup parameters for aspects such as digital filters or adjusting for various lighting conditions. In contrast, Ascendents analytics has no algorithm parameters; instead, it automatically adjusts to the conditions it encounters. AVA can also be used on existing cameras to turn it into an intelligent, information-gathering device. Systems equipped in this way can perform intelligent analysis of motion with application areas including intrusion detection, vehicle monitoring, abandoned-object detection, people counting, and loitering detection, as well as camera tampering and failure detection. Ascendent is thereby able to provide very sophisticated video analytics that upgraded existing cameras into intelligent homogenous security solutions that operates
automatically and autonomously.

Gyro Image Stabilization & IS

Most cameras have lenses that are only 25mm or less. In contrast PTZ and long range electo-optic cameras have optics that larger than 2000mm. Due to their superior optical zoom power that is often 50~200X more powerful than regular cameras the effects of vibration, osculation and shaking are also increased. Vibrations and oscillations that are not even noticed on regular cameras can render these larger, highly sensitive optics unusable even in nominal operating conditions. To combat this, Ascendent integrates Gyro stabilization on our higher end Viper pan tilts that reduces, eliminates and corrects the negative effects of swaying, osculation, and vibration to ensure crisp detail rich images that maintain their detail even in heavy wind, high pole mounts and rough seas. Our IS electronic stabilization is great for wider angle cameras and to reduce the effects of vibration and can be added to any analog system. The IS also integrates fog filter to help reduce the effects of heat waves.

Range Finder
